Thursday, September 2: Rick is creating a promo poster for British singer/songwriter Barry Hunt for his band "Fat Chance" who plays at the Cavern in Liverpool, England
Thursday, September 2: Rick has been invited by British folk legend Tina McBain to show art with her and amazing British painter Peter Reeds at The Deaf Cat Gallery in Rochester, Kent UK in November. This show called "Raconteurs" is exhibited in conjunction with a concert by Tina's re-grouped band "The Raconteurs" (French for "storytellers")
Friday, July 2: Rick has recently created three album covers for European musicians. He created a cover for legendary British folksinger Tina McBain for a compilation album of her folk career and another one for the "Children In Crisis" charity album which features Bob Geldof; "Beatles, Blues, and blue Violin Project" (Tina McBain, and past and present members of the Electric Light Orchestra, Phil Bates and Mik Kaminski as well as many other well-known and talented musicians. He also created a cover for guitar virtuoso Chris Dair from Paris, France. Chris has performed and recorded with such artists as: Jimmy Page; led Zeppilin; Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix); The Kinks; John Mayall; and Bukka White as well as many other notable musicians. The album is "Guitar Ragas". Rick is also in the process of creating a fourth album cover for Vivien Dair (Chris' wife), who is a Celtic singer/songwriter.
Friday, July 2: Rick accepted a position on the board of directors for the littleton studio School, an art school in Littleton, New Hampshire.
Friday, July 2: A feature story about Rick and his art will be appearing within the next two weeks in the "New York Optimist" magazine. A very glossy high-tech magazine published internationally. It features stories about the arts and culture.
Friday, July 2: A portrait of Bob Dylan that Rick drew is being used currently to promote "Dylan Days" in Bob Dylan's hometown of Hibbing, Minnesota.
Friday, June 4: Rick's art is being featured in the windows of the Colonial Theatre in Bethlehem, New hampshire for the month of August!
Saturday, May 22nd: The June 2010 schedule is under way. The first two events are now posted. Keep an eye on "Upcoming Events" for any changes to the schedule.
April 10, 2010 - Join us for a "Dinner and a Show" fundraiser for the LinWood Area Senior Center in Lincoln, NH on Friday, May 7th. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance for $7.00 per person. Seating is limited to 100. Dinner will start at 5 pm. We will be performing afterwards at approximately 6:25 (ish)
The Senior Center is located at 194 Pollard Road in Lincoln (the old St. Joe's Center, the rear half of the building). To call for tickets - 745-4705 and ask for Teasha (tee'-shah) Camargo. He hours there at Monday through Friday, 8 am to 1 pm. You can leave a message if you miss her.

January 30, 2010 - Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. Rick and Carolyn are just to forgiving when it comes to my (John) procrastinating. I'll have to get my act together if I ever want to taste those delicious oatmeal scotchies again any time soon (inside joke).
January 30, 2010 - A DVD of Laughing Couple performing with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra in the production of "Play Me A Story" at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington, Vermont can now be purchased through the VSO office in Burlington.

October 12, 2009 - Here are two more pics from recent events: The first one is Carolyn with international jazz artist Caren Knight Pepper (The widow of legendary Native American saxman Jim Pepper). Do you remember the song Witchi-tai-to? That was Jim. The second pic is of Rick and Carolyn at the regional teachers conference this past Friday.
October 10, 2009 - Carolyn was approached a few months ago by composer Derrik Jordan to share the Wabenaki story "Odzihozo And The Lake" at a number of Vermont Symphony Orchestra dates of the "Made In Vermont" tour. The telling of this story was an introduction to the piece of music created by Derrik Jordan and commissioned by the VSO. At three dates around Vermont Carolyn performed while attired in Abenaki women's traditional garb.Both Carolyn and Rick will be performing with the Symphony December 3rd, 2009 on the stage of the Flynn Theatre in Burlington, Vermont. The symphony will be playing "Odzihozo And The Lake" while Carolyn shares the tale and Rick creates a 4'x8' mural illustrating it.

Kwai Folks! October is going to be busy for us! Carolyn is doing the third date with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, Oct 4th at the Woodstock Town hall Theatre in Woodstock, Vermont at 7:30 PM, where she will be telling the story Odzihozo And The Lake just prior to the symphony performing composer Derrik Jordan's piece by the same name. We will also be performing at the Lisbon Arts Festival in Lisbon, NH the evening of Saturday, Oct 3rd at 7:30 PM where we will be opening for singer/songwriter Katie Rose.
November is being booked up rapidly with six dates already! We are booking way into next summer already and are getting interest from such diverse places as New Jersey, South Dakota, Maine and The Bronx!!
In February we will be performing at the Pequot Museum at Foxwoods in Ledyard, Connecticut as part of the opening for a new exhibit "Through The Eyes Of the Eagle" We are very excited about this!
